Getting ready to remove the LeSeuer
AstroPier from its temporary home. Note the anchor bolts that have
been epoxied into exposed ledge.

Loaded into the wagon...easier than
carrying it the 500 feet.

...and onto the permanent pier.

Checking for level.

Assembling the AP1200, June 4, 2005.
For me, this is a great day: even with a lengthy "punchlist" of
items needing completion, having this scope in a permanent
observatory is a dream come true.

Wall height was computed (apparently
successfully!) to provide just enough clearance over the scope when
in one of the standard "park" configurations, and will give a clear
view to the south to about 15° above the horizon once I take a few
trees down.

The view from the desk chair in the
warm room.

The (almost) finished observing room,
looking southeast. The 12' x 12' size is very comfortable for this
large scope.
